Our search for rescued beans is a global roundup! We don’t stick to just one pasture. Our head roaster is constantly on the trail, tracking down the most exceptional, often overlooked micro-lots from small, family-owned farms across multiple continents. From the high-altitude mountains of Latin America to the rich volcanic soils of Africa and the exotic islands of the Pacific, we partner directly with growers who are as passionate about sustainable, ethical farming as we are about rescue.We don’t just buy beans from a broker; we ‘adopt’ them directly from the source. This protects it from its four biggest enemies: light, heat, moisture, and air.Once it arrives, the best thing you can do is keep it in that bag (or another airtight container) in a cool, dark cupboard. Avoid the fridge or freezer—they create moisture that zaps flavor! For peak freshness, we recommend enjoying your beans within 2–4 weeks of opening. That’s how you keep every cup tasting like it just left the roastery.
