This single-origin Bali coffee draws its inspiration from Rory, a spirited Georgian Grand Friesian Saddlebred Sorrel Gelding who came to Bearfoot Ranch as green as they come. Much like the volcanic soils of Bali's Kintamani highlands, Rory's potential lay beneath a challenging surface—requiring time, dedication, and unwavering belief to unlock his true character.
The Origin Story
Rory arrived at Bearfoot Ranch with such spirited defiance that he nearly split the ranch leadership in two. Some saw only trouble; others glimpsed greatness waiting to emerge. Our current ranch leader took Rory as her personal project, recognizing that the most difficult horses often become the most extraordinary companions—given the right guidance.
Today, Rory is one of Bearfoot Ranch's most sought-after mounts for advanced riders. His transformation mirrors what we found in this exceptional Bali coffee: beneath the initial resistance lies extraordinary depth, complexity, and reward.
